Dr. Garry Arvesu

Dr. Garry Arvesu earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines. He worked as a government veterinarian in the Philippines for almost a decade before moving to Canada in 2009.

He took and passed the veterinary board exams while training under the Veterinary Skills Training and Enhancement Program where he was mentored by the Ontario Veterinary College faculty members. He received additional training in veterinary dentistry at the Animal Dental Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Aside from dentistry, he has had experience in soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Garry believes in working closely with owners in making a treatment plan that best suits the needs of their pets. He is passionate about providing the best care for each of his patients.

Outside of work, he loves to drive around with his family in search of a good restaurant. His family consists of his wife, Louren and their son, Gavin. They share their home with three pets: a cat named Bubbles who is fond of stealing dog food; Chiqui, a cute Shih Tzu who thinks she is a big dog and picks a fight with everyone; and a three-legged rescued cat named John Lloyd who is scared of everything that moves even if they don’t. It all makes for a well-balanced home.


Dr. Louren Tronqued

Dr. Louren Tronqued earned her Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines and received her licence to practice in North America in 2011. She has worked in several veterinary clinics in Alberta and British Columbia since then.

Even as a child, she was passionate about taking care of animals. She grew up on a family farm caring for dogs, goats, birds, bunnies and their one and only cat, Cookies.

Dr. Tronqued’s constant goal is to provide quality care to pets.

She loves spending time with her small family which includes her husband, Garry and their little one, Gavin. They have two of the best cats anyone could ask for: Bubbles and their 3 legged cat, John Lloyd. They also have a shih tzu named Chiqui.


Michaela Carpenter

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Michaela is a graduate of Vanier College Animal Health Technology program in Montreal. She has had a love for animals since she was little, as she grew up on a farm in the Montreal area. She loves talking to clients and making sure that their pets get the best care. Her areas of interest include dentistry, anesthesia, radiology, and client education. When she is not working, she loves to go for long walks with her dog, Marcus.



Kylene Rosen

Technologist Assistant

Kylene was born and raised in the small town of Hope, BC. At the young age of 13, she started her career at a small animal veterinary clinic. She brings almost 6 years of experience with her to Alberta. She grew up in a large household with 5 sisters and lots of pets. She was raised around dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, fish, and the occasional bug. Her free time is usually spent cooking, treasuring time with family and friends, and listening to music.



Brooklyn Belcourt

Technologist Assistant

Hey! I’m a member of the SAH team, and I am currently working as a Technologist Assistant! For as long as I can remember, I have been an animal lover, and I am a fur-mom to my senior dog MudBud. I’m looking into becoming an Animal Health Technologist. I love to spend my free time camping and going to the mountains with my friends and family.



Bella Sloane

Receptionist

Bella started as a VMA in 2020 right after graduating high school. She
had her daughter in 2021 and returned after her maternity leave. She
loves animals, dogs are her favourite. She has two beagles, Oaklyn and
Biscuit! When she is not spending time with her daughter, she likes to
go to hockey games.



Anna Ehrenholz

AHT Student/Technologist Assistant

Anna is currently into her second year of Animal Health Technology diploma at Northwestern Polytechnic in Grande Prairie, Alberta. She began working at Southfork Animal Hospital in February 2022. She can usually be found cuddling the post-surgery patients.
